April was relatively quiet for Clearear. I had more time for long dog walks, admin and- what should have been- more self-care. As any self-employed person, the quiet months are HARD! You feel as though you should be promoting more, doing more, earning more money. But the reality is, that the quiet months teach us to slow down and to appreciate the lulls. Sometimes, we have to pull back to push forwards.

3 Things I Will Implement More in May

Sort out my morning routine.

At the moment I get up; watch TV; and think about what I do with my day. I have my bookings, but then I don't really plan around them. So, my day looks quite scatty. I will look to plan what I do the day before and have the first hour of my day with minimal screen time and gentle movement.

Connect more with the people I love

We tend to get caught up in the work-rat-race. But, without connecting to those around us, the hustle is pointless. I know recently, I have relied heavily on social media for connection, but the reality is, it's a comparison trap. I don't feel good after scrolling. But I do feel nourished after connecting. So, each week I will touch base with a friend or a family member and do something outside of the house.

Dedicate 2 hours per week to Marketing

At the moment my marketing isn't particularly strategic. It's more on the spot, and what I feel like doing. This month, I will implement more of structure, so it feels directional and purposeful. I will mark out time in the diary for this specifically, no excuses.
